Some days I think that parenthood is the most wonderful thing that's ever happened to me.
This blog is about all the other days.

Spoilt Milk
When it comes to nourishing your baby, everyone knows that "breast is best". But what do you do when your mammary glands turn out to be a pair of Milk Duds?
(*No actual babies, boxers, or breasts were harmed in the making of this episode.)
This is pretty much what happened to me only I gave up the pump much earlier. It is amazing the hoops we feel we have to jump through just to feel like we are good mothers.
And yes, it is absurd how parenthood has become a competitive quest for some strange notion of perfection that's always changing. The only way I know to respond is to laugh at it.
I am laughing and crying at the same time. As much as I would never wish another mother to go through what I went through, it's very freeing to know I am not alone. My formula feed and breast milk supplemented twins are a healthy 5 years old now as well.
Oh boy, can I relate to this. Awesome Johanna - I am still LOLing!!! Thank you so much for this little escape from life.
